Evan & Ada Davis welcome you to this uniquely interactive Lifestyle property.
Our vision is to provide a place of rest and respite, a facility where you can retreat from the cares and pressure of city life, simply step back, breath in the tranquility and wonder of a more down to earth country lifestyle.
Both born and breed in New Zealand, we have benefited from a 1950's NZ upbringing, when the best things in life were FREE. We have both done the hard yards, being widowed in the late 1990's and have come through to experience new life together in this fantastic place. Won't you come and join us...even if only for a few days.

Below are some of the things we amuse ourselves with...
Evan is a hands on person - whirring away making vacuum forming tools in a tiny, draughty, rusty shed by the farm house. He provides the income I lavish on the accommodation! Evan is also the shepherd - we lost the old dog 'Boy', in the winter of 2007.

Of course there's also the photo of Ada in her dressinggown, feeding lambs in the paddock at 6:30 am. But like I said Ada is in charge of the website, you don't get to see that photo! You just have to be here at the right moment.
| Ada on the other hand is more 'decorative' - playing with decore and website. That is, until lambing season... we have some interesting ways of coping with orphan lambs!

5th & 4th Generation Kiwis from true 'Pioneer Stock' we have travelled extensively and are committed to the New Zealand way of life. Here you will find hospitality - Kiwi style.
Evan's Great-great Grandfather John Hobbs, was a missionary mechanic to the Bay of Islands Maori in the 1820's. John Hobbs also designed the Stone Store in Kerikeri and was involved in the signing of the Treaty. His plea to the authorities to tred gently was of course ignored and the nation still suffers. His other ancestors settled in Port Albert and became 'Albertlanders' - the initial from 'Worker' making up one of the letters of 'Wellsford'. Ada's heritage was established in the 1870's when Great Grandparents sailed out from Inverness in Scotland. They settled in South Otago and became sheep farmers!
